Undeleted Recycle Bin

Ever since Windows Vista has been out one of the most asked questions, I get is concerning the Recycle Bin. Computer users that have Windows Vista seem to like to delete the Recycle Bin, by mistake. 

I must admit that I have done it a time or 2, or 3 or 4. Well, I have lost count. 

Because deleting the Recycle Bin is such a common problem, I have chose to put a post on how to recover from this opps. 

  • Right-click on the Windows Vista desktop then left click on Personalize.

Setting Default Programs

Nothing more a time waster or frustration than left clicking on a picture and have it open in Photo Gallery and not in PhotoFiltre (my favorite photo editing program).  I like my video open in Windows Media Player, and not iTunes. Well digging around I found that Windows Vista has way of setting which program opens which file type. 

Like most everything else we need to start at the start Orb. From there go to Default Programs. This opens a window that is found in the Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs. Here is where we can choose what program to open with what file type.

Vista In The Dog House

You would think after almost two years the level of bad press for Windows Vista be reduced. Well, not in the forms and blogs. There are still lawsuits in Europe over the phrase, “Vista Ready”. 

My bad, according to Ars Technica the US Court of Apeals declined to hears Microsoft’s appeal. Yesterday, a new set of document were release that showed Intel benefit from the label, “Vista Capable”.

I would not be a good blogger if I did not mention BadVista. This website has been a while. It is part of the Freedom Software Foundation. I want you to note that Bad Vista’s last post was back in May of 2008.
